Hi, I'm April.
I've always had a deep passion for photography. Any aspect of shooting, action to still life, I'm there. I am a friendly, business orientated, get it done right the first time kind of person. I'm flexible to work with and make my studio or on location shoots as much fun as possible.
I have a completely portable studio that gives me the ability to shoot either on location, at your home, or mine. In the near future I will be doing several on location shots and am also looking for some great locations to shoot.
Here is a little of my history...
Growing up as a child, I have many memories of my father with a camera pressed to his face, finger on the shutter and photo albums full of memories he captured, most of them of my sister and I. Visions of him and my Uncle tinkering with their toys(cameras) brings a smile to my face every time. My love for photography was definately inherited from him.
My first Photography classes were during my last two years of high school where I learned the basics. More as a model than a photographer in those days but I loved the darkroom, the click of the shutter, the smell of the chemicals and the effects of black and white. Most of what I know now is self-taught and only recently did I decide to return to school. Important things I learned about Photography are...Learn, Enjoy, Focus and Share...Learn as much as you can, Enjoy every moment, Focus on the world and Share it with EVERYONE...Only then can others learn from you ;-)
I'm happy to know the photo bug has spread to several family members, from Aunts to Uncles to Cousins, and they too are exploring their passion for photography. They say that when you have found your passion, it's nothing like work and that's what photography is to me, a passion. I spend hour upon hour working on my photos, techniques, and creative ideas...and to think there was a time when photography was non-existant...
